A new exhibition at London’s Royal Academy of Arts celebrates the work of architects who look outside the box to create unique, exciting and innovative buildings. Entitled “Mavericks: Breaking the Mould of British Architecture”, the exhibition charts 400 years of design and covers the work of 12 specially selected architects. The show will examine the impact of these designs and reinforce the need for more unique styles, personalities and approaches in the sector. Continue reading

Creating a functional and beautiful modern mews house
Mews houses are a quintessentially British type of traditional property. Originally built in the Victorian era as stables with servants’ quarters upstairs, many of the capital’s historic mews houses have now been converted into comfortable, contemporary homes. As well as creating new properties, our architectural team are often required to update old ones, and one of our most exciting recent projects involved the transformation of an existing mews house. Celebrating architecture in a unique location
The inaugural Chicago Architecture Biennial was held in 2015. The event was designed to remind people about the architectural history of the city, including the many innovations that have happened there, and highlight its continued central role in the future of the field.
